Prof. Juzer Vasi, who co-founded NCPRE in 2010, and has continued his engagement with the Centre since then, received the Padma Shri award in the field of Science and Engineering for his contributions to the development of semiconductors and photovoltaics in India.
The award was presented by Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, President of India, at the Investiture Ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, on May 25, 2026.
