Development of an indigenous silver paste has become critical for supply chain for silicon solar cell technology. AnyD Materials Pvt. Ltd., a start-up at IIT Bombay co-founded by NCPRE investigator Prof. Parag Bhargava has been working with NCPRE to develop silver paste. Team AnyD has recently completed a successful industrial trial of PERC metallization paste, achieving an impressive 22.47% cell efficiency, demonstrating the strong commercial potential of their silver paste formulation. They are now advancing towards the pilot plant stage, where their focus is on process optimisation, scale-up, and commercial manufacturing. In parallel, they are actively looking forward to the development of TOPCon metallization paste to support next-generation high-efficiency solar cell technologies.
This achievement has been made possible by the excellent support and world-class infrastructure provided by NCPRE at IIT Bombay. Access to NCPRE's advanced cell fabrication, characterization, and testing facilities, along with continuous technical guidance from its experts, has enabled AnyD to accelerate product development, and validate formulations under industrially relevant conditions. AnyD also acknowledges the support of SINE (the incubator at IIT Bombay), and industry partners for their continued encouragement in this journey.
