Mr. Takehiko Matsuo, Vice-Minister, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Government of Japan, visited NCPRE/PoTIC on 19 January 2026 along with delegations from METI, JETRO, and NEDO. The delegation toured NCPRE/PoTIC’s state-of-the-art research facilities as part of the Japan Solar PV Mission to India, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in solar energy and clean technology.

Following this high-level visit, on 20 January 2026, 45 corporate delegates from 22 Japanese companies visited NCPRE/PoTIC. The programme included an introductory address by NCPRE/PoTIC, presentations by NCPRE start-ups, and interactions with members of the Japanese solar mission, fostering dialogue on technology development, industry collaboration, and future partnerships.
