Prof. Manoj Neergat of NCPRE organized a 3-day training program on "Battery Energy Storage System: Fundamentals and System Design" from 14-16 July, 2026. This short-term program was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of battery technologies, system components, performance characteristics, and applications in modern power systems. The program covered key aspects such as battery sizing for solar PV integration, state of charge management, component selection, thermal management, safety systems, and grid integration. A total of 68 participants from Industry, Government organizations, academia and students benefited from this program.

The program received highly positive feedback from the participants. One participant remarked, "The depth of knowledge, clarity of thought, and pedagogical finesse with which the subject matter was delivered by all the professors left an indelible impression on me.
